Today, the first flight to Baghdad-Yerevan-Erbil (capital of Iraqi Kurdistan) will take place, reported the press service of the RA General Department of Civil Aviation.
Regular flights will take place twice a week, on Thursday and Sunday, by Iraqi Airways. According to the Civil Aviation Department, Iraqi government members and around 50 tourist company directors will arrive in Armenia on the first place.
Iraqi Airways is owned by the Iraqi government. Recall, on February 2, the Armenia and the Kurdistan Regional Government have confirmed an establishment of an Armenian consulate in Erbil and are committed to establishing stronger ties in various sectors.
