The families of the two gunmen who were hospitalized after the overnight fire exchange between the police and the group occupying Erebuni’s police station were not allowed by law enforcement officers to visit their injured relatives, armtimes.com writes.
Ashot Petrosyan’s family members were told at the hospital that he had to remain under medical supervision until tomorrow; Petrosyan is then expected to be transferred to a yet unknown destination. He along with the other injured gunman, Hovhannes Harutyunyan, are being guarded by masked police officers, the website reports.
Europe in Law Association lawyer Hayarpi Sarsgyan, who went to the hospital willing to take Petrosyan’s case, told reporters that she would appeal to the Human Rights Ombudsman to resolve the visitation issue.
