Daredevils of Sasun member Smbat Barseghyan continues the hunger strike he began on December 21 last year. His sister, Lusine Barseghyan, told Epress.am on Monday that the family receives information about the state of the prisoner’s health from the office of the Human Rights Ombudsman.
“We phone them from time to time, but we can not say that they tell us anything specific about his condition health. We mainly get vague information about his blood pressure,” the woman said.
Recall, Daredevils of Sasun members Smbat Barseghyan and Armen Bilyan both went on a hunger strike in late December to demand that they are transferred to Armavir jail from Yerevan’s Nubarashen prison. Bilyan ended his strike on January 12, after a conversation with representatives of the Ombudsman and was transferred to the Convicts’ Hospital penitentiary.
