Issue of Returning Already Collected Mandatory Pension Payments Not Discussed Separately

 The authors of the new bill on the funded pension system are not discussing separately the matter of returning the funds mandatorily collected from employers earlier, the RA Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artem Asatryan (pictured) told the National Assembly, responding to MP Tevan Poghosyan's question today. 

According to Asatryan, this matter has to be included in the complete package of the new law, on which they are currently working.

The minister stressed that around 3 billion AMD has been collected so far and is being managed by the pension funds. 

Asatryan once again confirmed that employers who did not submit contributions to the mandatory component of the pension will not be fined, being released from liability as defined by law.
