Pashinyan Discusses Artsakh Issue with General “Oganovski”, a March 1 Crackdown Thug

“Sasna Tsrer” panarmenian political party’s Secratariat issued a statement on December 24 2019, by which it criticized Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s contradictory stance on the issue of Nagorno Karabakh.

The party deplores the fact that Pashinyan invited Samvel Karapetyan, General-Mayor of NK Army, a former Defense Minister of NK, also known by his nickname “Oganovski”, to a Security Council meeting on December 23, 2019. Earlier this year, the Russian Service of BBC published an article based on leaked confidential documents from the March 1 2008 crackdown investigation currently underway in Armenia. The article states that the shootings on March 1 2008, to which 10 victims fell, were organized by a squad led by Oganovski.

“Pashinyan, who declares that “Artsakh is Armenia and that’s it” also states that Artsakh has to become independent of Armenia and be a sovereign entity at the expense of Armenia, therefore all those who are criticizing the “farce” called presidential elections there are threatening peace.

This contradiction has reached such depth that has resulted in shameful outcomes, such as the invitation of the notorious thug of March 1 and Berdzor chrackdown, General Samvel Karapetyan (Oganovski) to a Security Council meeting.

Instead of clearing away the barriers to finalizing the de jure unification of Artsakh with Armenia, Pashinyan follows the line of his predecessors and moreover, attempts to increase the sovereignty of Artsakh as a separate entity.

We deplore such a policy and state that it significantly threatens Artsakh and Armenia’s sovereignty and is a leap service to Moscow and Baku,” reads “Sasna Tsrer” party’s statement.
