Armenia is ready to answer to the violation of ceasefire, if it's proven to be guilty, Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia (RA) Seyran Ohanyan said in parliament earlier today.
The situation at the border continues to remain tense, he said. "This is not news to us, and neither are the periodic ceasefire violations by the opponent. We have to understand and adapt, since the matter of lasting peace is not yet resolved, and we are obliged to address our opponent's militant zeal through counter or preventative actions," he said.
Ohanyan said the ceasefire violations were discussed with the Personal Representative of the Chairperson-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk and the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs. "We stated that we are willing to provide any assistance in the matter of investigating cases of ceasefire violations. And we will answer if it turns out that we are to blame," he said.
