Armenia’s Ministry of Defense reports that ten military servicemen have sustained injuries as a result of the operations on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border. One of them is said to be in an extremely critical condition, while five are characterized to be in a condition of medium severity with a positive trend.
The others will return to service within one week.
Yesterday, the coordinator of the Crisis Information Center, former spokesperson of the MoD did not give a definite answer on the total number of injured soldiers.
The situation on the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Tavush region escalated on July 12. The two sides blame each other for violating the ceasefire and escalating the war. Since July 13, civilian settlements have been under shelling on both sides. Armenia reports of Chinar, Aygepar, Nerqin Karmraghbyur, Paravaqar and Berd communities, while Azerbaijan reports of Dondar Gushchu, Alibeyli and Aghdam villages being under fire.
